City of Sheffield Water Polo Club Junior League
The City of Sheffield Water Polo Club Junior section has developed an intra-club junior league. The emphasis of the league is fun, but the overall aim is to give the players the opportunity to play in organised competition and gain valuable match experience, both in and out of the water.
Competition starts at 7pm promote on the following dates:

Rules;
•Normal rules of water polo apply except there will be no time outs. Substitutes may be used at any time with the referees approval.
•All 3 teams will play each other once on competition nights
•Matches will be in a full pitch and will consist of 2 halves of 7 mins each starting at 7.20pm promptly
•3pts for a win, 1pt for a draw
•In the event of a tie for points at the end of the year goal difference will be used to determine the winners
•Following a 12 minute warm up all teams will compete in a 25m team sprint relay competition. 1st place will get 3 league points, 2nd 2points and 3rd 1point….these will be added to
the points won in the matches
•Prizes will be awarded at the end of the year for the Winning Team, best team player for each team, most improved player for each team and anything else that the tournament
organiser can think of!
•The team NOT playing will be responsible for helping with refereeing and running the table for the other 2 teams – team captains to organise this.
•Results will be passed to Mrs E Selvey OBE , who will maintain full match records on the CCSWP web site
